We are delighted to introduce the new Global Health eModule developed by the Global Health Committee of the Forum of Irish Postgraduate Medical Training Bodies. The eModule is a key resource for teaching the new Global Health curriculum, which was approved by the Forum in 2023.

The two-hour course offers an immersive learning experience on global health issues, addressing the five core competencies in the global health curriculum. It represents a significant milestone in the journey to equip the next generation of medical professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to work effectively in our changing global health context. The attached curriculum outlines expected learning outcomes and details on each of the competencies for your reference.

We encourage all Training Bodies to integrate the Global Health curriculum into their specialist training programmes and make the eModule available to their Trainees. One of the initial steps will be to integrate the eModule into your institution’s Learning Management System (LMS).

Your technical team can contact Joan Bolger [joan@globalhealth.ie] for a SCORM file to enable seamless integration with your own LMS so it becomes immediately available to Trainees on your platform.
The following time-limited link is available to view the eModule and to share with faculty staff ahead of technical integration:

We also encourage Training Bodies to make the eModule available for all doctors to undertake it as part of their CPD.
We look forward to collaborating with you further. For any enquiries or assistance, please reach out to our Training Officer, Joan Bolger, joan@globalhealth.ie
